I am Anna. I am 30 years old, I have lived in Montreal for 18 months, I am French, my father is Indian and my mother is Franco-Spanish.

How did I come across yoga?

In addition to this, you need to know more about it.

I worked as an educator of young children in educational structures welcoming children with very different pathologies and this is what confirmed my appetite for knowing others.

I loved this fascinating, extremely taking work in which I invested a lot of myself, but this experience combined with a toxic relationship had significant impacts on my health and came to question what was missing in my life.

At that time, I had sleep disorders that rotted my life.

I tried everything until I met sophrology and then yoga.

My encounter with yoga was therefore based on a necessity: I had to solve my sleep problem which generated a lot of anxiety, vulnerability and suffering on a daily basis.

I was able to experience in my body and in my mind that not only did it work but that it also made me feel good.

It was also at this time that I was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome, I will never forget the tears when I left the doctor with an endless list of prohibited foods.

Today, thanks to yoga and all the holistic discoveries I have discovered I have no problems with sleep or digestion, and I am infinitely grateful for that.

From the moment I did my initial training in India, I knew it was the beginning ...

My journey:

In addition to this, you need to know more about it.

Shortly after this initiatory training, I had the chance to experience my practice in another culture in Argentina for several months with an extraordinary teacher.

Then, a total change of scenery: I landed in Montreal.

Quickly, hypersensitivity, intense fatigue, irritability, nervousness, intense emotional peaks and skin problems were inviting themselves too regularly in my life. I sometimes felt proud and happy but at the same time vulnerable and lost, struggling to understand the tempo of a new inner functioning.

Little by little I understood that these ailments came back precisely on key days of the month, and that they were intimately linked to my menstrual cycles. Is it my cycle that causes them or is it my cycle that allows them to express themselves? I preferred to focus on the nature of the symptoms, on the use of tools to better understand myself, know myself and relieve myself.

Since then, I have carried out various research, I have experienced a multitude of things on myself, and I have trained. I trained to learn what yoga could do for me personally. By observing the effects, I wanted to specialize in this dimension. Yin yoga for more slowness, specialized yoga on female cycles to understand myself and adapt my practice, female yoga to boost hormones and specialized ayurveda for women for my life balance.

I have had ups and downs, but today I measure how far I have come and I am proud of it. It clearly has nothing to do with it anymore ...

I know my needs and my cycles are going much better. Yoga has always had a primarily therapeutic place for me and that's how I use it.

A seed is therefore in me. That of yoga and well-being, that of support, listening to the body, accepting its manifestations. I use the tool of yoga and its techniques to relieve myself and support my daily life (change of season, emotional shock, health concerns, prevention, etc.). On my carpet, intentions are expressed, postures are accomplished, breath and energy circulate, visualizations make me travel, sounds carry me.

Yoga saves me and allows me to consciously act outside the mat towards this quest for better being and more gentleness (diet, pace of life, lifestyle, etc.). Each tool is chosen and evolves according to the need, the possibilities, the season, the desire and the relevance that I can find there.

Today I continue this journey and I am training in various holistic techniques to be able to support others and offer an increasingly broad and rich choice of tools. After several months without classes (I needed to hibernate to think and feel), my projects became clearer and turned towards yoga therapy and support for women. I wish I could be able to guide, take specific care of ailments and share the beneficial alliance between yoga and therapy in order to transmit the treasures that yoga has transmitted to me from the start.

"Yoga is not about self improvment, it's about self acceptance" Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa;

"Yoga is the art of awarness on the canvas of the body, mind and soul" Amit Ray.

In short, for me yoga is not a "sport", it is here a discipline of life that is why I wanted to transmit what for me is an enchanted parenthesis of well-being, accessible to all.

My training:

In addition to this, you need to know more about it.

-My first training was in Mysore, India to learn how to teach traditional Hatha yoga (Samyak Yoga School awarded in 2019 among the best yoga schools in India).

I learned to teach traditional yoga, precise, slow, deep, conscious and spiritual at the same time. Trained in Reiki , each class is focused on the work of energies at the same time.

I practice yoga that adapts to everyone, that brings us together, and that aims for physical, emotional and energetic well-being.

-I then followed a yin yoga training in Montreal (Marie-Daphné Roy) which allowed me to learn more about biomechanics (the importance of working on connective tissues, traditional Chinese medicine, meridians and the yin attitude of letting go, non-performance ...).

-Then, wishing to train myself with the safe method of the doctor and yoga teacher, Bernadette de Gasquet, I trained in perinatal yoga, within the De Gasquet institute .

This training gave me a lot of anatomical notions, especially on the female body; thus, my classes (including my hatha classes) mobilize the pelvic floor region and allow women to be more aware of the 'right' postures to preserve, protect their body and mobilize their perineum during yoga sessions.

-Educator for children of initial training , convinced of the benefits of yoga for these beings in the making, I trained in yoga for children , in order to transmit these practices from an early age.

-Then I did a training on yoga and menstrual cycles at the Satyam yoga center in Montreal in order to adapt my practice to the fluctuations of the cycle of women.

-I continued with a woman's yoga training by Tatiana Elle. To boost female hormones and learn about hormonal yoga.

-I undertook a training in Ayurveda specializing in women . (Sophie Benabi, The Green Adventures of Sophie).

-Finally, I am currently in therapeutic yoga training in order to be able to accompany and help people with specific problems through yoga and to carry out therapeutic consultations.

Namaste.
